How do I know my roof or house needs repainting?
Look for paint that has faded or turned chalky (it rubs off on your hand), timber where the paint is peeling, rust spots around the screws on a metal roof, and black mould that comes back on shaded walls after you clean it.
The surfaces that take the most weather go first: north and west walls, fascias and any exposed timber. A maintenance coat on those every few years pushes back the day the whole house needs a repaint.
What happens on the day?
Gardens and paths are covered with drop sheets, and windows are protected from overspray. Paint goes onto dry surfaces in weather that suits the product, and if rain comes in, the job picks up again on the next dry day.
When the job is finished, the drop sheets come up, the downpipes are flushed to clear any prep dust, and we walk around the house together before you sign off.

Do you paint fascias and eaves?
Yes. Fascias, the boards along the edge of the roof, and eaves take a lot of weather near the bush and the lake. They are sanded, primed where the timber is bare, and given two topcoats.
